That raven on the wall of this sweet restaurant pays homage to Edgar Allen Poe, who, as a child, played in the parterre "nestled amid the houses that is now the Linden Row Inn". He apparently returned here many times and, it is believed, it is this garden that is referred to in his poem, "To Helen". When he was 27 yo, Poe married Virginia Eliza Clemm here in Richmond on May 16, 1836.

This is the Memorial for The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr at the Lorraine Motel, now the site of the National Civil Rights Museum, in Memphis. Do plan a visit sometime.
