A few people photos taken from a day to celebrate my birthday.

I was treated to several surprises.

It was a little past noon when we drove to Cherry Creek, a Denver neighborhood, and parked. Our sunny Sunday walk took us past the Ross-Cherry Creek branch of Denver’s Public Library.

My son and I both had manicures at a lovely salon just down the street. We were seated next to each other and sipped lemon water while we chatted.

Afterward, we got back into the car and drove into Downtown Denver. We apparently had a little time on our hands (I didn’t know what was planned). We walked along the 16th Street Mall, a mile-long open-air pedestrian shopping area, then over to the Civic Center to see the Colorado State House and take in local artists and others performing in the plaza there that afternoon.

From there it was a short walk to the historic Brown Palace Hotel for a celebratory afternoon tea

A lovely day!
